If the National Lockdown has taught us anything, it is precisely how creative we can be when the need arises. Some of us have had to don hats we never thought would fit us: teachers, home gym instructors and…undercover chefs!
With your favourite restaurants (we’re sure The Fig Tree is right at the top of that list!) temporarily closed, many have had to dig deep in the crevices of our “right brain” to keep our families well-nourished.
We’d like to tap into those newly found, or refreshed, creative minds and have some fun: you could stand a chance to win some fantastic prizes!

Fancy yourself an expert on all things “cooking”?
Well, then, enter our Great Simbithi Cooking Quiz – we’re on a quest to find Simbithi’s boffin on matters of the kitchen. Chef Louis Leisch has concocted a Quiz that is sure to test your knowledge on everything from au jus to aubergine.

COMPETITION #2: SIMBITHI’S FAMILY FAVOURITES
So…do you think you should show our chefs a thing or two? Would you like to cook in a state-of-the-art industrial kitchen, and have your dish on the menu of a popular restaurant?
Yes?
We know exactly how you could make both those wishes come true: enter the Simbithi Family Favourites Competition! To enter: send us your “Family Favourite” – something simple, and homely, that you enjoy cooking for your family. Be creative, and keep it homely. E-mail your recipe and a photograph of your dish to marketing@simbithi.com.
All recipes will be judged by a panel of our Chefs, and the winner will be announced on Thursday, 30th April, 2020.
The winner gets access to our Fig Tree kitchen, and a chance to show our Chefs how to cook their dish. And…your Family Favourite will be showcased on our menu for a month. Imagine the bragging rights!
