Simbithi Eco-Estate (Simbithi), is a leading gated estate on the North Coast of KZN which is home to approximately 6500 residents and comprises a commercial business zone, Country Club, restaurants, and a golf course.

Simbithi Eco-Estate Homeowners’ Association (SEEHOA) needs to appoint a Finance Manager who will be responsible for the development of the financial management strategy and controls, Information Technology (IT) management, and the management of the Welcome Centre administration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overall financial management through the execution of the Estate’s financial operating plan and strategy for the short, medium, and long-term,
  • Develops and monitors standard operating processes/procedures, internal controls, and financial operations systems to manage the day-to-day operations of the finance department. Directs operations to meet financial and operational targets,
  • Serves as the management liaison to the Board of Directors and audit committee by effectively communicating and presenting critical financial matters. Advises the General Managers and other key members of senior management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy matters,
  • Manages the income statements, balance sheets, budgets, and reserves. Ensures compliance with the appropriate accounting standards in line with a Non-Profit Company (NPC).
  • Prepares management reports for the SEEHOA Board of Directors and Simbithi Country Club Executive Committee,
  • Facilitates internal and external audits,
  • Asset management,
  • Regularly reviews Financial Risk Management Reports focusing on Association impact/ concerns, legal compliance, governance, asset management, and reserve management,
  • Works closely with IT Manager to ensure the latest technological advances are implemented to meet the Estate’s needs, and
  • Provides effective guidance and direction to the Welcome Centre Supervisor to ensure sound administration and customer service delivery.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Formal accounting qualification
  • Professional accounting body registration
  • Experience with IT contingency planning and business continuity, business systems, and related technologies
  • 5 – 7 years’ of financial management experience
  • Must be comfortable with public speaking
