VACANCY: Pizza Chefs, Grillers & Commis Chefs

Simbithi Country Club is seeking dedicated and experienced Pizza Chefs, Grillers, and Commis Chefs to join our esteemed team.

The successful candidates will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for exceptional meal preparation and ensuring our customers continue to enjoy an unparalleled dining experience at Simbithi.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and achieve high standards of food quality, preparation, and production, assisting in service under the guidance of the sous chef.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness at all times.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and appropriate hygiene practices.
  • Cook ingredients promptly according to the menu and recipes as required.
  • Manage cooking times effectively to ensure food is ready for serving on schedules
  • Disclose and account for any food variances and wastages, taking necessary precautions during preparation and cooking to minimize wastage.

Requirements:

  • Two years previous experience as a pizza chef, griller or commis chef at a busy restaurant
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
