You may have seen something a few times over but seeing it through the eyes of a child will take you down a path of discovering new and wonderful things.
We recently took a group of excited children from the Darnall Primary School environmental club down the path of the Umngeni Trail. Led by our Environmental Manager Ayanda Duma, Junior Environmentalist Rowina Kanniappen and Marketing and Communications Co-Ordinator Jodi Chetty, the group and their teachers, Nathanael van Wyk and Marilyn Bikram meandered through the exquisite forest where they spotted bushbuck, duiker and a plethora of plants and trees.
Along the way, the group took a breather at the Wagtail Dam, where a swarm of dragonflies danced across the still water. This allowed Jodi to share the special story of our dragonfly logo.
It was most encouraging to see young minds eager to learn more about the environment as they volleyed a stream of questions at Ayanda and Rowina.
