We, at Simbithi Country Club, are incredibly proud of our Pro Shop Manager, Ryan Schierhout (front row; centre): he was recently awarded his PGA AAA Status.
The classification of a Professional Golf Association (PGA) professional is paramount, as it is a representation of dedication to self-improvement over a period of time, and a symbol of expertise and contribution to the game. It is also used by the golf industry as a benchmark of ability.
It is no mean feat to achieve this status: to be certified AAA, professional golfers are required to have been a qualified member for six years or more, and must be actively engaged in professional development and member education programme.
Ryan, you have done us proud!
We are also pleased to share that our Pro Shop Assistants, Anele Khumalo (front row; left) and Nkosinathi Khumalo (back row; centre), are undertaking a one year course in Sport and Recreation Management with the Club Management Association of Southern Africa (CMASA). The course focuses on the Club Facility, including sports and course maintenance.
Once completed, Nathi and Anele will receive a mid-level diploma from CMASA.
Well done, gents!
